Poptism: the belief that pop music has the potential to present something meaningful

People often see pop music as artificial and plastic, and those who listen to it are plagued with stereotypes: they’re automatically viewed as shallow, stupid, and inferior to others. However, they fail to see past their preconceived notions of pop to learn that pop music, like every other genre, can be purposeful and significant.

Through this blog, I hope to break these stereotypes of pop music and spread the belief of poptism into all who read this.
